Cowl-icious!

We love hand painted yarns.

We really love simple patterns that showcase these beautiful yarns.

So when these two things come together we can't help but get a little excited!

A new finished sample for the shop - the Dolores Park cowl by Parikha Mehta is gorgeous in Misti Alpaca Handpaints. One skein makes this a super quick project and it is oh-so soft!

We think it's a great knit for the fall.

Special thanks to Jessica for being such a beautiful model! Happy knitting!

Koigu Helena

We love Koigu. Love it. Love the people who dye it, love knitting with it, love the colors, love it. We also love Knitty. It is a fantastic website that published an adorable little girls sweater called Helena which is quickly knit from the top down. It's written for a DK weight yarn so we modified it slightly & used Koigu's KPPPM resulting in a smaller finished garment.

Pats Finished Sweater!

Pat has made many scarves, gorgeous scarves that she generously gifts her friends with as they are always luxuriously soft and warm. She decided to gift herself with a sweater knit out of Sheep Shop 2 yarn using their pattern, Seamless Chunky Raglan.

The sleeves were knit in the round & completed rather quickly.

Next Pat joined the three pieces & happily knit the yoke as she new the end was near...

A very pleased Pat left Friday with a completed sweater just in time for fall. She modified the neckline to be open & cooler than the turtleneck the pattern had. Fantastic first sweater!
