Too much merino! A pregnant plethora of purl! A copious cache of cotton! Awesome amounts of alpaca! Renewed Rowan and a swollen store of silk!
In other words, the fall yarn is in! We are so excited that we can express emotion only through aptly applied alliteration. Peek in and peruse the plentiful profusion and ponder a plan for your next project.
Magnificent! Marvelous! Majestic!
(This isn't so odd. When we're truly sublime we speak in rhyme)

Grimaldi's Charity Knit Night
Talk about getting knitters out in July! We had a sold out crowd at Grimaldi's Pizzeria knitting up a storm and enjoying the delicious pizza.
Twenty knitters came out to make a square for a blanket that we will be again donating to the Hoboken Homeless Shelter auction this winter. We hope to have the blanket on display at the shop this fall!

Charity Knitting Event
Last year we made a blanket for the Hoboken Homeless Shelter's Silent Auction with the help of many knitters to create a unique blanket. This year we've decided to be proactive and start in July. The official Charity Knitting night is Monday the 14th at Grimaldi's. If you haven't registered and would like to there's still time! It's $15 and registration in advance is required. Here's the yarn ready to go...
It's Manos del Uruguay in semi solid color #64 - Pewter.
With permission from Judith Shangold we will be using the patterns from her book, "Four Seasons Throws, a Design Source Collection". The patterns range from easy to intermediate and will generate a gorgeous blanket for the auction.
Thank you for all who have signed up. If you want to join in come by this weekend as there are still a few spots.
Looking forward to Grimaldi's Pizza & knitting!!

Modified February Sweater
A new nephew was born last month. Deciding what to knit was a little challenging but I decided on the February sweater with modifications. Although I love the lace pattern, I felt it was a little to feminine for this child born to two retired marines. I kept it simple by using stockinette stitch. The yarn is Kersti hand painted yarn by the lovely people of Koigu.
It will be a little tough to part with. Riley likes it too.
