Mother Bear Project Update

Delivery of completed mother bears has begun which is a really fun part of the charity knitting event. It is so exciting to see how the finished bears all have unique features reflective of the knitter. Each bear is unique & will bring such happiness to a child.

Mother Bear Project appreciates our efforts towards helping to bring comfort to children. Below is a map of where many of the bears go:

Keep up the knitting energy to get through the last stitches & seams! If you need inspiration come by the shop to see some of the finished bears in person!

Pizza, Wine and Mother Bear - a winning Trifecta!

Fourteen knitters represented on Monday May 4th for an evening of knitting, pizza & drinks at Grimaldi's Pizza. We were so excited that this event was once again sold out and we soon would be sending another great shipment of bears!

After a long cold winter it was nice to get out of the shop and meet friends and customers for the event.

Doing a charity knit night is so much fun and is a way for us to really connect with our customers.

We look forward to having more wonderful nights like this one! Thank you to Grimaldi's for once again helping us host such an excellent night!

Something borrowed...

In the fall, a new semester began at Stevens University which brought us a new friend to the shop, Kirsten from Norway. A voracious knitter & engineer, she found herself in Hoboken to study for the year and quickly found her LYS, us. We are so lucky she did.

We always loved when Kirsten would stop in and knit a bit with us, each time with a handmade knit being adorned. Above, wearing the beautiful Whisper Cardigan in Koigu, she is a beautiful and great knitter. She is friendly, likeable and soon became a shop favorite. She has made some really wonderful knits and we were always in awe of her pattern/yarn combinations.

Sadly for us, but happy for her, her semester came to an end & she has flown home to Norway. We loved how she inspired us with her knitting and became such a great a great friend.

Kirsten, know you always have a home here at Patricia's Yarns. We'll miss you and know we will always think of you and keep track of your knit adventures via Ravelry.

We know you'll always keep on knitting and hope you visit us again soon!
