The official blog of Patricia's Yarns in Hoboken, NJ. Here we'll share news on yarns, patterns and our own handknits! Patricia's Yarns - knit, crochet, create!
after looking through ravelry for a good cardigan pattern... I think I'm going to make the Basic Black Cardigan using the Zara... and maybe I'll make the Tornado fingerless gloves with Zara Plus since I've been wanting some fingerless gloves
I've got a bunch of little animal toys that I want to make for holiday presents and decorations, including an elephant that my sister wants me to try and make into a bookend, based on one sold at the MOMA Design Store. I also have two cardis in my Ravelry favorites that I'm looking to make: the Tailored Retro Cardigan and the Chanel-ish Cardigan.
Knitting for me is zen. I write all day and at night, the the click of the needles, the feel of the wool and the gorgeous color of the yarn is just so soothing. There is nothing more wonderful about the cooler weather than being cozy at home, with my husband and son, all watching a movie--and I get to knit sweaters for all of us!
You know me. I'll be making that top-down, in the round, children's sweater from Ann Norling. Over and over and over again. But I would love to try it with some new yarn!
Curse of the Boyfriend Sweater, written by Patricia and Adam Scribner, is a novel featuring seven original knitting patterns. Curse is a tale of love, loss, friendships, and knitting set in New York City and Hoboken, NJ. For more on Curse of the Boyfriend Sweater or to purchase the book, clickhere.
